2007 Paso Robles Zinfandel Festival Set for March 17

Tickets on sale now at: www.pasowine.com

PASO ROBLES, CA-The 2007 Paso Robles Zinfandel Festival, presented by the Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance, is slated for the evening of Saturday, March 17, 2007. The festive, Mardi Gras themed event held at the Paso Robles Event Center will include live and silent auctions, as well as a grand tasting of Zinfandel wines from more than 40 wineries in the Paso Robles, California appellation. Each year Paso Robles Wine Country hosts its annual Zinfandel Festival for enthusiasts from around the nation, surrounded by three days of festivities at the wineries, March 16, 17 and 18. 2007 marks the 15th anniversary of the Paso Robles Zinfandel Festival.

"This is the second largest Zinfandel tasting in the country and as the region's heritage variety, it's no wonder so many Paso Robles wine enthusiasts look forward to it each year," said Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance Executive Director Stacie Jacob. "There will be great lifestyle and wine auction lots up for bid and more than 40 wineries will be pouring their Zinfandels-it should be an exciting evening."

Tickets are available now on the Wine Country Alliance's Web site, pasowine.com. Zin lovers may choose from two ticket prices - $85 per person for the Live Wine Country Auction featuring a special commemorative Zin blend tasting and Grand Tasting or $50 per person for the Grand Tasting. With a limited supply, this event is sure to sell out quickly. In 2006, nearly 1,000 wine enthusiasts from around the country attended the event.

"We expect this event to sell out, as we're limiting the number of tickets to enhance attendees' experience during the festival," said Jacob. "We encourage those interested in coming out for this celebration to buy their tickets early to ensure they have a space at the 15th anniversary Zinfandel Festival."

Paso Robles Wine Country offers a classic wine country retreat, where winemakers and winery owners can often be found in tasting rooms and around town.
